High flying
A nearby boat needs to launch, so the crane lifts it high over the Blue Angel.

Another project, the main hatch slides
Unfortunately, the main hatch edges were bumping the cabin top so the slides were disassembled and new teak stips added with just a bit more thickness. These guide rails were then glued back into the main hatch.

The new cable pull system
Keeping the wires safe during mast raising was dangerous and unpredictable. This interior cable leads to a hole a about 3 feet up, and lets you pull up the cable slack from outside the mast.

Cable pull setup
A view from the bottom showing the wires and the cable pull leading into the mast. The pull is attached so that the entire cable down to the connectors can be drawn completely inside the mast.

Caulking the old teak toe rails
Another project: the toe rails have always had leaks, and this is one possible cause, uncaulked gaps between the rain, the desk and the topsides.

The deep gaps
The gaps were cleared out with a dremel and wire brushes.

The gaps are filled
Now the 3M 5200 caulk has been pushed into the gaps. The masking tape was key to keep thinsg neat. The stainless steel trim strip can now be reattached.

Mounting the bow rail
Burning the midnight oil trying to caulk down all the deck hardware under threat of rain. I think I finished at 2AM.

Front deck hardware remounting
Trying to stay neat is hard. You can also see the new non-skid is completed. I made a mistake here bedding part of the bow rail and it had to be recaulked again later to close the gaps.
